National Neighbourhood Watch week takes place during the week commencing 16th June, 2008.  The Management Group is looking for a city centre venue where Neighbourhood Watch can be promoted.  Any ideas would be welcome.

Smart Water – a revolutionary system of property marking using a DNA type structure – is coming to Worcester.  It will be offered at £20 a pack through neighbourhood watch (this is 50% less than retail price).  More information will follow when available so keep you’re your eyes on the neighbourhood watch web site (http://www.worcesterneighbourhoodwatch.co.uk/ .  Adrian will be promoting the launch via his normal route for NW information.  If you want to know more now just google ‘smart water’.

More Committee members – The management group for the city is looking to take on more committee members.  If you think you could spare approx. 1½ to 2 hours a month please get in touch.  Our meetings are held at the Guildhall generally on a Monday evening and tea and coffee is provided.

Raising the profile of Neighbourhood Watch    The Management Group have arranged to have a stand at the Guildhall between 10.00 a.m. and 2.00 p.m. on the 30th May 2008 as part of the Volunteers week event being held there.   We are also taking a stand to the Community Safety Day on the 28th June 2008 at Pitchcroft.  This event is being put on by Hereford and Worcester Fire Brigade.   Please tell all of your friends about these events and hopefully we can get more people to join the scheme.

The next AGM will be in October so do be ready to come along.  We will notify all members prior to the date and it will also be posted on our local website.
